private Lessons

Suzuki and Traditional violin lessons for students age 3 and up, from the absolute beginner to the aspiring music major! No matter your level or background, in our studio you will learn to play the violin in a positive, encouraging, and self-affirming environment. I believe that it is possible to hold students to a high standard of excellence and also foster their sense of self-worth and regard for others.

Included are weekly private lessons throughout the year, outdoor group classes, as well as recitals in December and July. Our recitals will be either in-person outdoors as weather and safety permits, or streamed online via Youtube. 

Parents of young children: Prepare to be actively involved during your child's lesson and practice time at home, even if your lessons are online! This includes listening attentively and taking notes during the lesson itself, as well as being a practice partner for your child at home. Especially with the youngest pupils, parental support is a critical factor in a child's musical development. When teacher, parent, and student all cooperate to foster growth, that's when the magic happens. Relish the journey!
